ASG & Pete: Do you know who submitted that Dec 3rd SEC Form-144 ? Was it a biggie ?

Recall when Pete posted price/sales ratios that were consistent amongst ADBE, MCRE & our MCRE ? Well todays Barrons notes that the return on equity ratio is behind earnings surprises as a big determinant by institutional clients. Anyway I know little of this subject but I tried to compute MCRE's earnings return/equity ratio and if we assume $80 million as earnings and $ 275 mill as equity ($ 11 x 25 mill shares) I get 29.1 % return (earnings) from equity. However, with acquisition costs isn't MCRE actually reporting a net minus ? Now I'm wondering if that figure (return/equity ratio), assuming its sort of right (before acquisition costs), is consistent as well with ADBE and MACR ? Also, whats the difference between return/equity ratio and Pete's discussed price/sales ratio ? I assume the latter reflects the ratio of MCRE stock to sales before costs ? If thats the case than whats MCRE's 'costs' to earnings ratio ? Of the three companies which are has more net profits from sales (before costs, taxes, acquistion costs, etc.) ?

BTW: How would you describe the relationship that MCRE has with Real3D/Lockheed Martin ? real3d.com As you may know the latter has a license regarding MCRE's 3D scanner. But is there anything more to the relationship ? If so is Chips and Tech involved too real3d.com ?

Has anyone read the WSJ 11/17/97 article which discussed and mentioned the above noted companies, as well as Intel and MicroSoft, regarding 3D products ?
