Perhaps this has been beat to death, but if so, pls humor me, b/c I missed it.

Would someone please explain to me what is such a big deal about making public who "recommends" a post?

I don't get it.

This new "outting" feature is most assuredly putting the kabosh on whom I "recommend" as having posted something worth noting.

This isn't highschool! Besides, who gives a rat's behind about whether or not someone "likes me" or "Says Hi" as I traverse the halls between 3rd and 4th period?

Is this SI's concession to the "like feature" on the standard bearer Facebook?

It's dumb!
