I admire your spirit and thrust. It has the vigor of the 60's. I have quite openly passed several admiring comments on what could be seen as your'feminity,' soft, feeling, etc. The deep heat of passion is within you.
I thank you for your note about the Thread.
However, I believe your personal motivation is removed from your stated goals. The motivation, it seems fairly apparent to me, is to have a bigger and better thread than 'other threads.'
You stick your chin out, grit your teeth, and take on insults and manipulations that, were it not for the preservation of the thread, you have no need to nor benefit in taking.
E.g. I personally think it was a conflict about the politics and economics of manufacturing vs. agriculture that was at the roots of the Civil War. In other words, I believe your conclusions are emotional, idealistic, and beautiful. Yet, there is no reason to put up with the trash of #14091, the cop-out of all cop-outs.
Religions, organized, commercialized, capitalized, do seem to subjugate women. But, I believe, only as a natural outcome of gaining power and sway through subjugating everything that is out there to subjugate - for power.
See, we could banter about such topics, but your thread reeks of extremism. Good old Skipper being proud his child has enshrined "competition." What a pity. What a mindless, or soulless, way to cavort within the horrid Terry camp.
To sum up: You seem to be a most dedicated and feeling individual. And, somehow, you have put that delicate entity into a bed of madnesses. Maschochistic?
