I looked at several of the ac routers at Best Buy just yesterday in the $175 - $200 range. Kind of expensive compared to N routers. If I didn't already own a working Linksys N would possibly consider it. Maybe on the next complete update. My wi-fi reception issue isn't all that severe. I think it can be resolved with bridging the modem and using a range extender. I may even improve reception by going back to the N router from my current G modem / router that Century Link provided. Found a really compact, easy to install Asus dual band range extender at Best Buy for $99, and maybe can do better shopping the net.
