Now half the country is near the poverty level.
How do you define poverty?
Nobody is starving in America.
The homeless are mostly mentally "freed" from hospitals by compassionate liberals.
Any child that is willing to put in the effort can get a decent education

America's poor are richer than the middle class in Africa and much of Asia.

Liberals who depend on the poverty industry and who benefit politically from a large group of "victims" will always find a lot of poverty.

The only way that you can define poverty near 50% is to include everyone that doesn't pay taxes.
