Damn shame and I've always sworn by Sandisk but have rarely used anything but their Compact flash disks.

Hopefully you won't ever have to do this again and having a card reader means you can copy the images right after you shot them.

The Apple iPad camera connector has also been a life savor for me as I can put a backup of some images there if I don't take my Laptop with me on a shoot.

Really looking forward to seeing some of these shots when you get them recovered!
