I don't think the universe or life could have come into existence without being planned. ie designed. If aliens came to our solar system and found the Mir space station, should they assume it's an artifact of intelligence or something that happened by chance and the unguided laws of physics? Well, life is even more obvious an artifact of intelligence.

As I learn more about the bio-mechanics involved in evolution, I find there's not even good reason to think natural selection and chance is a major force in the formation of new types of living beings.

Most of the arguments on behalf of evolution amount to tale spinning. The more science discovers, the weaker the tales get. Even the tree of life falls apart when you look at genetics.
