Also think its a complete distortion to say that evolution must always take place with slow & gradual steps,it could just be that in the more primitive staged bodies where theres more active hunting , motility , prey & predator scenarios for the first time, life evolves very rapidly. And evolving of sensory organs/eyes that really bring on the changes and we don know the atmosphere & other factors such as sea composition were drastically changing too.

the greater mystery of all besides this flap in the Cambrian would be the farther back transition from uni~cell life to multi celled animals & plants in any case, we do see the evolution of plants quite clearly & animals since that age.
