They just really don't know how life has developed and have no idea why.

They do now , even what is non living systems can & do evolve into more complex 1rst tier organic systems, (folding proteins) its called "Emergence" .

Silly pretzel minded fellow, its not that things are irreducibly complex, its about emerging complexity which we witness happening even on the basic quantum mechanic levels, more complex systems emerge only needing the synergy of the most elementary forces & basic particles combining into new aggregate forms & new emergent structures.

We don't call whats happening in the Sun "irreducible fusion", just the opposite, we have emergent new forms of molecular joinings (new heavier elements) which is only the beginning. The night sky is filled with emergent complexity!

* Irreducible complexity is just plain stupid from every perspective, now see the light!
