>I think NT's weaknesses may catch up with it

I know you wouldn't want me to make investment decisions based on your opinion, so I won't, but it is this kind of anecdotal, group-think kind of discussion that will cost a lot of people a lot of money. Sun and NT both have strong niches right now, and if you think that MSFT will let NT fail for peformance reasons, you are not (IMHO) very well informed about the history of technological trends. I also imagine that your strong implication that persons who implement NT are less professional than those who implement Unix-based systems like Sun reflects another dangerous bias, charactersistic of holy wars. I work with professionals from both environments, and frankly, the only difference in their professionalism, overall, is there degree of open-mindedness about the pros of the other camp and the cons of their on platforms.

(Sorry folks, I said I was going to shut up and listen, but I couldn't this time.)
