To All: Hello, my name is Ron Vinyard (aka Mojo). I have daytraded with Interquote for about a year now, and am one of its greatest supporters. I also am an over-the-hill programmer, and a (self-proclaimed) guru in Excell. During the past year, I have customized the basic IQ template to a degree that I think will amaze all but the most proficient users. I track and present On Balance Volume (in the composite as well as large blocks and small), On Balance Ticks, %prev day volume, Pivot Points, Trade Status, and much, much more. All presented in a convenient and easy to read format. The template also provides extremely good buy/sell signals based on the accumulated OBV stats. Earlier this year, I completed a "beta" test with several users to verify accuracy and ease of use. It works! I am now in the process of "productizing" the template, including complete documentation, for the purpose of attempting to sell it to IQ users over the web But I am missing a vital piece of marketing info: I have no idea what the user interest might be. As many of you know, establishing a WEB presence is not cheap, and I'm hesitant to invest in this without some knowledge of the potential customer base. So, I'm taking a poll here... My thinking is to sell the product in the range of $50-$100, and also offer a low-priced monthly support package and occasional newlsletter. Incidentally, I have discussed my plan w/the marketing folks at Interquote and they have no problem with it.
Would appreciate any feedback/interest any of you may provide. Rather than tie up this thread with what some may consider "off-topic" info, please respond via e-mail to: ronvinyard@worldnet.att.net Thanks for any help you can give me! Mojo |
