Ukiah is well inland. Cute little down very little growth no industry. Seems like some good land between Ukiah and Santa Rosa if the state wanted to add another 5M people one day. Love the climate much better than along the coast but not the hot desert either.. Still to me seems so damn expensive but obviously the locals that control it don't want the growth. I would die either broke or bored to death if I was a RE investor there these days<g>

Trust me.....Ukiah is not considered inland. There is a band of land going from San Diego country up the coast to Oregon. Its about 50 miles wide........that's a guessestimate. That band has a different climate than the rest of the state. Its not as hot, gets the ocean breezes and not as dry....gets more rainfall than areas inland. Anywhere along this band the housing is expensive. Of course, the housing gets more expensive the closer you get to the water or the higher you go into the mts that follow this band up the coast. But generally any housing in this band an outsider [to CA] would consider expensive.
