Smoke and Noise ...

Zax,

<< It is really starting to sound like there may be something to these stories. >>

There probably is "something" ... but what?

<< The burning question! Will Microsoft buy Nokia?? >>

No. That's highly unlikely, although the. companies may have explored it as a hypothetical.

Will they tune their original agreement with Microsoft? That could well be under consideration.

Will they make decisions soon on NSN? That's highly likely and necessary.

Thinking outside the box for a moment about NSN (which I've been doing), and despite the fact that Microsoft needs a piece of mobile wireless network manufacture or network services like they need a hole in the head (even less than they need to take over a very large handset manufacturing operation with 8 production facilities), they could assist (monetarily) Nokia in putting together a consortium to buy out Siemens stake in NSN as an investment.

Cheers,

- Eric -
