Seems to me that is a fairly substantial gain...with existing off the shelf stuff..

I'm not sure I see much "tweaking" potential

I suppose there is always a better way

...but the opening shots from the medical establishment sound rather Oz like

Otherwise you may discover a non-fatal, but undesireable malady that will turn your skin blue..if you take silver by the teaspoon, Argyria

It has a long history as a safe and effective antibiotic that can even attack viruses

But like a lot of good stuff, it would compete with some folks meal ticket, so it will be avoided
