I purchased that book: Reinhart and Rogoff said in "This Time is Different" that a financial crisis is typically followed by a banking crisis an average of 4-years later.. gave it to a friend who thought it was valuable enough that he underlined some passages and gave it back to me and got himself a copy...... One of my partners was telling me a couple of years ago how he kept hearing about the book in Institutional Investor articles and then John Mauldin gave it a big plug... I helped Mauldin out and bought his book when it came out... he asked his reader to help him make it a number one best seller... and "The Endgame" is an excellent book.... I packaged it together with the Reinhart and Rogoff book..... It's amazing to see how frequently some countries have currency blow ups and have to issue a new currency... Brazil managed to pull a hat trick and destroy 3 different versions of their currency during the 20th century..... I suspect that had something to do with Terry Gilliam's 1985 elliptical movie Brazil where everything was out of phase and not working properly...
