Brumar, the prosecution is trying to convict Zimmerman based on shock and awe. They show gruesome pictures of Treyvon Martin and describe in gory detail how he suffered from that gunshot in his final moments on Earth. They use showroom tactics to try and emotionally sway the jury into sympathy for the young kid.

But there is no way they will ever convince a sensible jury beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman intended to kill Treyvon Martin. The only thing the prosecution can hope for is to accuse Zimmerman of trying to pick a fight, and even that argument is shaky given the likelihood that Treyvon was rather aggressive himself.
