Lets not forget commissions....I worked at Merrill Lynch as an intern for a semester (two different offices)...commissions were unreal...The firm is for those that need their hands held mostly...Ie. they pay for the HUGE research department....I currently use Lombard....14.95/trade but I always use limit orders for $19.95.....I got screwed once on 1/4 of a point...that was enough to pay for the $5 difference about 20 times

Remember folks, the object is to see if I can do this.....maybe yes, maybe no.....I know that I am a good stock picker...no problem there....but trading is a completely different game.....technicals actually come into play....I have found out that trading with bearish technicals is pretty good on the short side....

I use Bloomberg for the technicals(we've got a terminal at school....neat little toy....expensive also!!!!!

On another note, 10% on $10,000 is HUGE!!!! Whereas $1,000 a day can be easily attained if you have enough capital......I don't.....I am simply trying to personally attempt a notion of market timing & stock picking publicly.....

Finally, I would encourage everyone to look at MRVC and QCOM...they are my two largest holdings long-term....great fundamentals...Both are still undervalued....MRVC is tremendously undervalued....I believe that people get scared looking at QCOM's P/E...58 or so.....HUGE growth ahead...developing countries, such as Brazil, have 1 phone line per 100 people.....TELEBRAS can't lay down the copper fast enough...in some cases it is too expensive...That is where QCOM steps in with their wireless local loop products...This delivers phone service, via wireless network, to the local village or community....REALLY NEAT STUFF!!!! Remember that for any business to be conducted in modern day society people have to communicate..Ie fax, phone, internet, etc....The Wireless Local Loop product (WLL) is cheaper to install in fast growing areas of the world and in remote areas especially...Some analysts state that 1/2 the world still hasn't made a phone call....THINK GLOBAL, NOT LOCAL!!!!

Here's a link to Lehman Brothers report on QCOM(you need adobe)....look at their estimates......QCOM developed the CDMA technology for wireless applications in phones....Find out who your local CDMA digital carrier is....You should find a QCOM logo somewhere on the phone.....

Have a good weekend folks
