Why would anyone make up a lie about one's ancestors being slaves in another land? It goes against human nature which seeks to inflate one's ancestors.
They didnt make up a lie, they imitated & borrowed from a much older myths of Sargon, to demonstrate the power of God, that was the point, all gets taken from earlier sources=evolution, And who like Hercules overcomes great obstacles and which better in that ancient world to show him defeating than the great Pharoah of the great Nile river? We remember also that earliest depiction of this diety getting tired after making all the pretty lights and Big Bang, his body needed resting on the 7th day. So the early notion intimates a God with a body but Moses doesnt get to look upon the face, later it gets more sophisticated into the incorporeal & invisible , that builds up the mystery, by necessity since no God has ever shown themselves from the beginning anyways , except in fairytales in the Bible.
Now its down to the molecules & atoms, you could have saved all that trouble long ago & just said "light" of the Sun is God, then to follow up later "light of understanding". This is what they concluded in medieval times when putting in all the marvelous stained glass windows, that God in His/or Her purest form was light. |
