Also on that page: "UMAX sales continue to grow: Umax Data Systems, the largest Mac OS compatible manufacturer, said today its November sales jumped 71 percent to a monthly record from November 1996.

November sales broke a previously set record of T$1.513 billion marked in October. The company also said the revenue growth was due to increasing sales of its scanners and computers. UMAX's January-November sales totalled T$13.3 billion, bringing the company closer to a T$15 billion goal for 1997, set by company officials.

UMAX recently announced a $500 rebate on the S900/200, a 604e-based workstation that ships standard with Mac OS 7.6.1, 32 MB RAM, 8x CD-ROM drive, and a 2.1 GB SCSI hard drive. (See related story. "
