Beachbumm, Re -- cable modems... They are a year 2000 story. As are xDSL modems.. Software modems is next year.. Also in the Cable modem space, Bay, Intel,Csco are big players, not so in the retail modem where USRX/COMS hold a huge marketshare advantage.. Thus for 1/4 of COMS business to have a free fall, you can imagine the impact on 3Com stock. Furthermore 3Coms NIC business is also under heavy competitive pressure.. Not looking good for this commodity maker. Stockman
