6/28/13 Contest Update Investors breathed a sigh of relief as the Plunge Protection Team returned from its secret vacation hideaway whose only other guest was Edward Snowden and quickly got back into action. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 21.09% YTD (vs. up 20.10% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 26.72% (vs. up 22.90% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 12.71% YTD (vs. up 11.19% YTD a week ago). FILO’s portfolio, up 78.54% YTD, had another winning week and remained our Contest leader. RKRW’s portfolio, up 75.54% YTD, is close behind in second place, while BLADE’s portfolio, up 61.54% YTD, held on to third place. At Friday's close, 35 of the 39 Contest portfolios were in the black with 15 of the 39 beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list.
