You subscribe to Biblical Archaeology Mag but haven't yet produce one set of finds depicting Hebrew presence in Egypt yet? You should have at least a 1/2 doz links where are they, saving for a rainy day? Abraham the ancient father is riding upon a camel & his people paying for grain with coins but either case its not till 1000yrs later than the Biblical timeline both are even possible.
Rather than name calling, produce the evidence as i have, literally 100's of goddess figurines found in Jerusalem when these patriarchs were supposed to have wiped out this pluarism 1000yrs earlier? What has been shown clearly here, that we only see a sweeping change starting post exhile 550bc from Babylon, perhaps the Dead Sea scrolls prove something but their own dating is only to150bc or so and they were copies.
What you see developing in an evolutionary way, is an uncompromising monotheism adapted into strict religious laws with hard penalties with every concievable ban on making offerings any other place than in the temple, the priests of Jerusalem strived for a total monopoly on faith. We have seen this same kind of monopolization many many times before & since, pure human nature to control thru myth building. While blackening the names of their neighbors to portray themselves as the true defenders of the faith & write themselves in as the chosen ones.
This so easy to comprehend, any freshman in highschool could understand it, even younger. Its a clear case of ancient men involved in power struggle playing the monopoly "god game". No different than the Aztecs in Mexico.
