I think what he's saying is the industry as a whole won't be able to sustain the current output level long term 10+ yrs unless prices are closer to 1,500 plus. Given the drop off in grade over the previous 10 that may not be such a stretch. But your pt is also correct. A medium size producer should have no problem making a nice profit at 1,500. SA has been in decline for a while. He might have been talking in general, but with an SA bias.
