In the first place, you have no idea what a "normal" person would do in such circumstances. You certainly have no basis to judge what is "normal".

But while argue that a person who is merely being followed would be experience fight or flight, you idiotically suggest that a person on the ground with another on top of him punching him and smashing his head into the ground would not.
