Christopher Hitchens & this unbelievably lost, true idiot William Dembski, have a debate at the Preston Christian Academy which apparently they tried to censure off later. You don't want to suffer thru too much Dembski who has to read from a script thru the entire thing and even then his points are often almost self defeating.
One begins to realize it is exactly one of the chief features why evolution & deep time that bothers them so much , Hitchens speaks of the discoveries of science always unsettling. Its very much the question violence inherent in the life process on this planet that has been a never ending raw struggle for survival & death. It negates any benign creator automatically & theres really no other rational way of seeing it.
But Dembski makes the most poorly rehearsed fumbling plea/excuse of this being a fallen world, that we are all born dead, something about free will & original sin, this fellow's calling certainly wasn't philopsophy, theology or science apparently, when he tries to ad lib an example/thought experiment, watch out your barin will go numb. Dumbsky is not too unkind for this ID'iot.
Cut towards the very end , Hitchens makes one of his best speeches, even when decrying the rotten theology of Mother Teresa or pointing out Hitlers Nazi's devotion to God , we find the audience in this Christian Academy applauding, thats how clear & convincing his logic & reason is.
