Zimmerman's lawyers waived the SYG hearing which would have ended this last year -
Ho ha! Buts...... they only waived the SYG "pre-trial hearing", which could have determined whether, or not, Zimmerman could be absolved of criminal wrongdoing in the case, without having to go to a trial.

That doesn't mean that they cannot use SYG during the trial. He is still covered under the SYG law.
