Dipy:

You state:

technology, especially after the stupendous run over the last 6 or 7 years...

Let me ask you the following:

Are you more dependent on technology today than you were 6 or 7 years ago (or for that matter yesterday)? Do you anticipate this dependency to decline as we go forward?

If you continue to believe in the fundamental concept of supply and demand at the consumer (and corporate level) globally, then you may want to re-consider the definition of being overweighted in technology (as investment).

My portfolio has been 100% high techs for the past 6-7 years and will continue to be so in the future. Despite all the temporary wild price fluctuations (which at times can result in tremendous psychological pain!), the end result has been an extremely nice overall return for my investments (from which our beloved (!) Uncle Sam has also benefited greatly)!
