I live in an expensive area and I buy my food fresh and organic, because I like to cook and eat healthy. The relative amount to your area is not as important as the price increases I've witnessed over the last few years. That is how we measure inflation. Have to compare apples to apples. For example, it wouldn't be a fair comparison to compare a house in New York to the price of a house in Tennessee, now would it?
