You can't have it both ways. When you put it into the legislative process everyone's opinion counts. When you put it into the fed/state funding process, everyone's opinion matters. Even if you could remove those opinions, which would be my preference, you still may have a community of people who are effected, and their opinions matter. What two consenting adults do in private is their business. However, there are consequences which carry responsibility for what two consenting adults (or teens) do in private. When you want other people to take the responsibility for funding 1.3 million abortions each year, you are going to get their opinions.
