That's something that Pebble in it's current incarnation can't do, but it would be an obvious feature on an iWatch.
Sure, but again, Pebble is in its first gen. Could easily be added. Also, letting people hear your conversations and what you search for might not be broadly appealing for any watch.

My point is that your premise that Apple would release a Pebble clone with the same limited functionality is unlikely.
They certainly won't release one that will allow you to use an Android phone. Whatever Apple releases will be closed-wall to their OS. And it will likely cost 2-3x as much.
