At the meeting, did they address at all the fact of their small staff? Maybe they really do not have enough staff with only 4, three of whom are senior scientists. Most companies have a bunch of lower-level (cheaper) people who spend a lot of time on the approval process. Maybe it would be a good idea to hire a few suitable people if they can find any in Knoxville.

Also was it clear whether a formal request of Breakthrough Designation had been submitted yet?
