At this point I'm not so sure that rates ARE going to rocket up. The Chinese have a $6 Trillion Dollar "shadow banking system" that is essentially a PONZI scheme and if that crumbles it will drag everybody down with it. Brazil is chaos. Europe is chaos. India is chaos. And the US of A is just crawling along even though it's being propped up by $80 Billion a month in QE. Anybody that can predict interest rates or anything else at this point is a heck of a lot smarter than me.
