Not likely. Why would anyone switch? Nope, not going to happen. There are 2 companies now, just like the computer business. Sun is gone, SGI is gone, IBMs mainframe competitors are gone. The list is endless.

Even good systems like OS/2 and even systems that were arguably superior like BeOS and Amiga are gone. Linux is arguably superior to Windows and is FREE and yet it cannot get a foothold on the desktop.

Seems INCREDIBLY obvious. Why do smart people at Samsung even bother? They should be using their money to help innovative people develop new products. It just goes to show that managing innovators is damn difficult. There are plenty out there believe me. And its really what made Jobs special, he understood how to give them what they needed and how to leash them in.
