Vancouver’s detached average home price of $1,169,149 registered a slight upward movement towards the year’s high of $1,221,037 recorded in February 2013

Crazy high unaffordable prices up there. Interesting chart going back a long time. It had topped before at $400k in 95' and $900k in 08' . I feel today is equivalent to about 1995-6 on the long term real estate cycle that might end up being far less than 17-18 years this time Would not surprise me if we reach 1988 and 2006 inflection points again well before the end of this decade

Vancouver is a smaller metro than Seattle; similar climate and location; less economically vibrant.......and yet, its ave. housing price is probably twice Seattle's. The difference........the Chinese. ;)
