Definitely the logical conclusion of their beliefs. Yahweh even supported Lot who impregnated both his daughters and because of this he considered Lot "Just" and "Righteous" and loved him dearly. When the Church had power and was able to follow the "morality" (throwing up) of Yahweh to the logical conclusion, they invented some of the most cruel implements of torture ever conceived of by primitive superstitious people.
