Hi longnshort; Re slavery and when it ended, one of the things I haven't been able to figure out is why blacks tend to convert to Moslem even though Saudi Arabia (and Yemen) allowed slavery until 1962. This is about 100 years after the Christian Republicans got rid of it in the US. Mauritania banned slavery in 1980. This is according to the BBC: bbc.co.uk -- Carl
