Actually, your post proves my exact point. In the BLS survey you posted, boneless chicken breast meat prices increased 9.8% from May'12 to May'13. Wouldn't you consider that to be alarming inflation? I thought we were all supposed to buy the whopper from the Fed that inflation was running at less than 2%? Chicken sure isn't, which has been my main point in this thread of posts.

Look, when all around you seems ludicrous, I have a simple grounding formula I use. My bullshit radar has been on full alert for the last few years as the Fed has said there's no inflation. So I use my formula. I start asking people who should be experiencing inflation: WIVES, MOMS. These are the people who do most of the shopping in grocery stores. I've asked about 15 of our friends at the clubhouse over the course of the last year whether they have seen prices go up in general at the grocery store. ALL of them said yes and that prices have gone up by a large margin. Chicken and other meats were their biggest complaints.

Makes you go hmmm. Could wives and moms be full of shit? Maybe. Could the Fed be full of shit? Well, given their terrible track record, it is certainly plausible.
