Koan forgot that Russia had just declared war on Japan and the british and USA saw what Uncle joe was doing in eastern europe. If the war dragged on another 6months to a year Russia would have been more involved and Joe would have demanded control of half of japan after the war and how would the Japanese under soviet control suffered under them for the next 50 years
