With any competent president, there is zero percent chance of a meaningful attack against our Navy from Iran because the consequences of such an attack would be immeasurably destructive for them. They would get off one shot and it would be over.

Agreeably, Iran and everyone else recognizes we currently have grossly incompetent leadership, and that could lead to an attack. Obama would be paralyzed with fear and have no idea how to react. If you had a competent president, it would be suicide to attack the US fleet in the Strait.
