It isn't how a given president would react, it is how the aggressor BELIEVES a given president would react.

Obama is weak, certainly the weakest president of our times (with Carter running a close second). The perception of weakness invites aggression.

The Iranians ran over Bush during the last 3 years of his term because he was perceived as weak, when it was realized he didn't have the political strength to act. Obama has been perceived as weak from the first minute of his presidency, largely because he lacks the understanding of world events and the skill to deal with them.
