My name is Nancy and I am Alans wife. I told Alan I would really like to communicate with you. At the time that Yeshua died I beleive there were some Gentile believers like the woman at the well and her friends, Cornelius a Roman soldier, and possibly Luke who wrote the book of Luke and Acts (possibly). The majority were Jewish as the Lord stated "I have come for the lost sheep of the house of Israel" and to the Jew first then to the Greek. Our God has a plan to redeem His creation and this plan includes the Jewish people. Paul continued to establish Churches among the Gentiles and the Jewish Believers rejoiced at the news of the Gentile Churches.
On the Day of Pentecost there were 3000 people other than the 120 that received the Gift of the Holy Spirit. The interesting part is that the Day of Pentecost ( Shavout) in Judaism is the celebration of Moses bringing the Law down Mount Sinai. There were 3000 people that died the day Moses brought the Law into the world so you see it is difficult to understand the full picture of Gods plan without the Old Testament. Also, they read the book of Ruth in the Synagogues on this day which tells of the harvest and Ruth is the only Gentile in the Bible to have a book written in their name. There is a beautifull foretelling of the Messiahs plan as Boaz to redeem the Gentiles (Ruth) and restore Naomi (Israel) to complete His perfect plan of redemption. The Jewish people are a critical part of His plan and His desire to reveal Himself to all mankind thru the JEWISH MESSIAH. There has always been a remnant of Jews that God has kept for Himself but they were forced to convert to Christianinty on their terms totally. They were made to change their names to Gentile names and were severly mistreated if they even mentioned their Jewishness. I have many materials available to back this up. The most familiar is The Inquisitions, or how about the Crusades. And what about today can you see how they are responding to Alan just saying he is Jewish. Last year my sons and I were going to worship the Lord when we were attacked by a man with an AK47 rifle. He tried to kill us and was yelling Die Jews Die. In letters he has written, he states that he loves Jesus Christ and is doing his will by killing woman and children that are unarmed going to worship.The main lesson from Jesus that I understand is to love your neighbor as yourself, love others as I have loved you and to love your enemies and do good to those who persecute you. Somehow I don't find anywhere that we are to hate anyone and especially not kill. But Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of him and I believe this to be the root of this hatred as well. In 1 John 3:11-15 it says this is the problem and that anyone who hates is a MURDERER.
Romans 11:25-32 gives alot of information of the plan for Israel. There is a mystery that Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of Gentiles has come in. Is this something they are doing wrong? If God has hardened them in part because there has always been a remnant then how can they be held accountable. The accountability is on the people who condemn them and do horrible things in His name to further the problem. But God is Soveriegn and is waiting to judge the world on His standards not there own.
As strange as it seems there is much joy in the believers that suffer for Yeshua because He Himself suffered and in a relationship with Him He can give us a peace that passes all understanding in the worldly sense.I personally experienced this when I was staring at the barrel of a rifle there was total peace in my heart and that makes no sense to me other than the Lord. I don't believe there is any way to the Father but thru the Messiah but I do believe that all Israel will be saved Romans 11 because of who He is. The anti-semetic people will be accountable for their lack of love. Seems to me that if I received eternal life, peace, prosperity and an open door relationship with the Creator of the Universe thru a Man I would be as kind as I could be to His people(John 4:22 salvation is of the Jews) Abraham to Jesus and on to Paul and Peter etc... I am sorry this is so long but I have always liked your posts and felt a desire to express the frustration that we feel. A believer can be Chinese and nobody jumps them for sharing that fact or there can be a Spanish Church and people are glad but let a Messianic Jewish Congregation open and they are furious.
