Bush started all of this when he destabilized the ME by replacing the Sunnie in Iraq with Shia, who then joined Iran.

Iraq used to be the natural counter to Iran.

Now Iraq is joining Iran, Hezzbola and Assad.

Egypt will join everyone else against them

Tribal conflict in Iraq has killed 2500 people since April.

Having said all that, it was inevitable that a secular ME would eventually clash with a 7th century culture.

So we have three players: Sunnie, Shia and the secular liberals all fighting for their own causes.

Kurds will try to stay away form all of it.
