BTW, did the date/time stamp ever transfer over with Elgato from the Hi8
tapes?
With the camera I have (Canon ES4000 camcorder), you had to manually enter the date for each tape and then the date and time would appear in the lower left hand corner. I opted to leave that off the videos I took. So there was nothing to transfer over.

Most of the videos will go up on YouTube because there are too many people in the family to make separate DVDs for. It is best that certain people be edited out of the videos. I quite sure that, considering their behavior on the video, they would want to be edited out.
