The company expects to double its revenue for the fiscal year 2014, riding on the success of its Canvas smartphone portfolio, which the company has been expanding every quarter.

Micromax recorded revenues of Rs 3,168 crore ($0.52 billion) in the fiscal 2012-13 and now is close to crossing this figure in the first half of the current fiscal itself. “We are sure that we will surpass our revenues for the last fiscal year in the first half of the ongoing fiscal year (FY 13-14),” Deepak Mehrotra, CEO of Micromax told Light Reading India.

The company will also be bringing Windows Phone 8 powered smartphones in future.
