When he got in a fight with a teen he'd been following, instead of fighting fair like a man ( as he should have learned in his MMA classes ), he pulled his gun and shot the young man in the heart. Martin didn't know he was neighborhood watch - he'd never identified himself. All Martin knew was that a "creepy-ass cracker" was following him, and he probably didn't want to lead him to where he was staying.
