I got my TRV350 today from EBay. The first think I did was check out the DV (firewire port) and, $%@#, it was mangled. The plastic was broken around the pins and the pins themselves were all bent. I didn't even bother to fully unpack the other stuff as I'm sending the camera back for a refund.

I find it hard to believe the seller didn't know this, and no way this happened in transit, but even if he tries to dispute this EBay has a buyer protection plan that covers all purchases, including the cost to ship the item back to the seller. But, before I file a complaint, I've still written the seller asking for an explanation just to see what idea he might have to resolve this. Basically, the cost to repair this problem is going to cost more than the camera itself, unless the guy is a do-it-yourself type.

Oh well, back to EBay to buy another one. The problem is that none are approaching a deadline date until five days from now.
