Adam smith lived a long time ago and had a naïve view of human behavior. He failed to see the dark side.

I am sure you would agree government has the right to prevent an industry from pouring mercury or PCB's into rivers.

That is only one example of thousands I could provide that shows clearly we need some government in commerce.
