Quite the opposite. He had a very sophisticated view of mankind. And the recognizing the dark side was one of the reasons he believed and wrote as he did.

Remember any dark side you see, also applies to politicians, regulators, political interest groups, and voters.

I am sure you would agree government has the right to prevent an industry from pouring mercury or PCB's into rivers.

That is only one example of thousands I could provide that shows clearly we need some government in commerce.


That's not government in commerce. That's saying "you shall not poison your neighbor". Its not an attempt to direct commerce, to pick winners, to favor some and disfavor others, or to plan how the economy works.
