Everyone knows this happened due to GWB's empire building in the middle east post 9/11 and the boom in China. What were oil prices when Clinton left office again? Good news is a sustained period of high gas prices plus less control by neocons makes innovation and quicker turn to profitability in hybrids, electric, solar, wind possible
