Steve, there is a ton of research out there saying that excessive sodium intake has adverse health effects, but this most recent report is making news just because it goes against the grain. In any case, salt is the new CO2. What used to be a natural element or compound that is essential to life is now being treated like a poison or a pollutant because we supposedly have too much of it. Never mind the fact that nature already regulates both very well. For sodium, it's as easy as pissing or sweating it away. For CO2, it's a global ecosystem that constantly shifted even before man discovered fire. Tenchusatsu
